Now We Are Six
At this time last year I was working hard towards my first 'big' exhibition, sharing the walls with Inma Garcia-Carrasco with A Painted Touch of Life. I was the happiest when the possibility to reiterate such experience arose. Same gallery, more friends! And an endless gratitude for the opportunity to work with such fantastic artists.

We had worked towards a show for early April, but for obvious reasons we're postponing it for later in the year. To share the paintings with you, we've been working on launching a website instead. There'll be a virtual exhibition, artists pages and blogs. Hopefully you'll enjoy seeing what our little group came up with, and then we'll meet again as soon as possible for a physical exhibition, drinks and painting demos!
‘An exhibition of original figurative paintings, selected from Six Contemporary Artists. Artworks explore the beauty, diversity and mystery of the human form. Each of the Six bring together atmospheric paintings created in response to their unique perspective. Carefully curated, this exhibition promises to be, much like the human body, greater than the sum of its parts.’
For my part, I have to confess I'm full of doubts regarding my work! (which is probably a universal feeling). Part of the work are oil sketches started from life, that I'm using as starting points for my imagination to take over. Which feels very exciting as a process, but rather scary when I share it. Probably because it's showing quite directly what's inside my head. The work is quite playful and exploratory, and sometimes I can judge myself for not doing 'serious' paintings. I'm trying to push through those unhelpful internal voices, because at the end of the day those are just paintings. They are coming from the heart, and hopefully it'll show through, somehow.
